Once a hidden jewel of Emerald Isle, Playtime has become a popular rental often booking a year in advance. If you aren't simply enjoying the magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean there's plenty to keep you busy in this 4800+ square foot house. Playtime will become your family's favorite Emerald Isle vacation rental! 7 bedrooms plus a den - there's plenty of space for the whole family. And 5 OCEANFRONT master bedrooms ensures that all the adults get a fantastic room with a view!! And an elevator ensures that everyone has easy access to all levels of the home. Towels and linens are provided and beds are made upon arrival. No Pets and No Smoking, please!
Upper Level
The Lookout Suite (Master #1, King bed, Full Bathroom, TV, DVD)
This oceanfront master has incredible views of the beach from the 3rd floor. The luxury bathroom has double sinks, a 2-person jacuzzi tub and a walk-in shower. There's a walk-in closet and access to the back deck.
The Great Room (Queen sleeper sofa, TV, DVD, Stereo)
This large open living area has vaulted ceilings and overlooks the ocean and beach. Admire the beauty of a reverse floor-plan and the breathtaking views of the beach and ocean. Due to the southern exposure, not only do you get to view a fabulous sunrise over the ocean, but you will also enjoy beautiful sunsets. The Bose sound system is perfect for entertaining. A gas fireplace is available during the off-season.
The Dining Room has two tables and has seating for 18. 6 more can sit at the bar - so everyone can be together.
The Kitchen is huge and open to the rest of the upper level - so you can still feel a part of the conversation if you have to cook. There are two large refrigerators and two dishwashers - and enough plates and silverware to feed an army. All the bakeware and cookware you need is on hand. And all the necessities like an oven/stove, microwave, blender, coffee maker, and toasters. And look to the north, you can even see Bogue Sound!
Middle Level
The Reef Room (Master #2, King bed, Full Bath, TV, DVD)
The oceanfront Reef Room is the periwinkle one (that's sort of a light bluish-purple for you men out there) with black furniture. It has a private adjoining bathroom and access to the back deck.
The Tropical Room (Master #3, King bed, Full Bath, TV, DVD)
The orange Tropical Room is also oceanfront. It has a private adjoining bathroom and access to the deck.
The Sunshine Room (Master #4, King bed, TV, DVD)
The Sunshine Room is the yellow one with striped bedding. It's oceanfront and has access to the back deck. It doesn't have a private bathroom, but there is a three-quarters bath between the middle and upper level that is close-by.
The Sailboat Room (Kids Room #1, Bunk bed, Trundle, Full Bath, TV, DVD)
The Sailboat Room is setup for kids - with a walk-in closet with toys. There is a bunk bed (twin up, double down) with a trundle.
The Surfboard Room (Kids Room #2, Bunk bed, Twin, Full Bath, TV, DVD)
The Surfboard Room is another kid's room. A bunk bed (twin up, double down) and an additional twin bed provide sleeping space for the whole gang.
Lower Level
The Flip-Flop Room (Master #5, King bed, Full Bath, TV, DVD)
The Flip-Flop Room is a guest favorite! An oceanfront master bedroom on the lower level, it connects to the back deck, the game room and the den. It overlooks the pool area - but also has a view of the ocean as well. There is an adjoining full bathroom that is jointly attached to both the Flip-Flop Room and the den.
The Den (Queen sleeper sofa, shared Full Bath, TV, DVD, Computer)
The den faces the front of the home and has a private deck. The den is interconnected with both the Flip-Flop room and the adjoining bath, so they can share the bathroom or shut the extra door to keep it private. A sofa and a chair make this anoher great place for hanging out. There is a computer with a printer and an internet connection. Of course, there is a wireless network - so bring your laptop and work (or surf) from anywhere.
The game/recreation room is all about entertainment! Play pool on the billiard table while watching TV. Or play foosball while listening to the stereo. There's a game table for playing cards, board games or doing puzzles. Cards, board games and puzzles are provided, of course. Did the last vacation rental you stayed at have a pinball machine? Stay at Playtime and try to get the high score on the Pirates of the Carribean pinball machine. Feel free to bring your mp3 player and plug it into the stereo. Or break out the Karaoke system and CD&G disks to liven up the party! We also provide a variety of CDs if you forgot your favorite music. A wet bar, a full refrigerator and a microwave ensure that snacks and beverages are always close by. A half-bath connects to the game room and the back deck - perfect for changing into your swim suit or coming in from the beach.
The Theater has a big-screen TV, DVD Player, expanded cable and 5/1 surround sound. We have over 150 DVDs to pick from - including something for everyone. If you want a little more action, turn on the Xbox system (with multiple controllers) and put your game playing skills to the test. There is tiered seating for 6 plus a couch and chair so everyone can watch. And if you need the sleeping space, the couch is a queen sleeper sofa, too!
The laundry room has an oversized washer and dryer and a utility sink. There is also an iron and an ironing board.
Outdoor Entertainment
The Private Pool is right off the lower level. A 14' x 25' lighted swimming pool allows you to enjoy the water day or night. It can even be heated for $550 additional. A separate outdoor CD Player and speakers allow you to listen to music outside - or just listen to the sound of the ocean.
A Private Hot Tub sits right by the pool so if the pool isn't your thing - you can enjoy the hot tub but still keep an eye on the kids.
Extensive decking and plenty of outdoor furniture allows more than enough space for sunbathing or just sitting outside enjoying the weather. An external staircase provides easy access to the pool area from any of the master bedrooms.
The Gazebo is on the private walkway to the beach. A perfect place to sit in the shade and watch the kids playing on some of the most beautiful beaches of Emerald Isle. Or have a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the dolphins.
